Meet the team

  • Phil joined H&MV Engineering in 2006 and is responsible for overseeing the group’s daily business operations on all projects across all our regions. He has a vast knowledge of all sectors within the business and continues to focus on maintaining and developing client relationships while building exceptional teams to deliver quality work for our clients. His vison as Chief Operating Officer is centred on collaboration with all stakeholders and the continuous development of our people through innovative thinking and sustainable solutions.

  • Enda has amassed over 20 successful years’ experience working in the electrical power industry. Having joined H&MV Engineering in 2001, he has harnessed his technical expertise gained as the Asset Management and Quality Director, and has gone on to become a strategic, leading, driving force in H&MV Engineering’s international growth in the role of Chief Development Officer. Enda is a champion for the companies continued development and evolvement as we continue to grow in new regions and sectors globally.

  • David has worked across various levels & roles within the H&MV Engineering group, having previously held the role of Technical Director, where he managed a multinational team commissioning complex high voltage substation arrangements. As Managing Director Ireland, he has developed a keen business acumen, harnessing his innovation and enterprise skills, working with many high profile clients and overseeing the delivery of major projects throughout the region.

  • John Stokes boasts of an impressive 25 year career within the high voltage industry, having navigated a career pathway through Operations delivering major projects for H&MV Engineering and growing the company’s reputation and capabilities. He has been instrumental in enabling H&MV to mobilise internationally and a catalyst for the company’s strategic growth in recent years. John is a passionate leader and advocate for the company’s internal training, learning and development initiatives including the Apprentice & Graduate Development Programs.

  • Eileen leads H&MV global finance in her role as Finance Director overseeing all facets of the financial cycle of the business. Her successful progression to senior leadership in H&MV has been defined by her ability to visualize a future state, translate to that into action and execution while engaging team members. Having joined H&MV Engineering in 2020, her main focus has been company performance through new technology, digitalisation efficiencies and team and talent development. Eileen manages a team of over 30 accountancy professionals and is a leader for the companies ESG objectives, digitalisation iniatives and ACCA accreditations.

  • Eamon, as Chief Technical Officer, leads over 150 multi-talented engineers based in varying locations for H&MV Engineering around the globe. His vast experience in the design and management of high voltage substation projects allows him to be a hands on engineering mentor for the department. Eamon has a keen interest in continual professional development and champions the companies development programs and industry body affiliations.

  • Ronan joined H&MV Engineering in 2016 and has been instrumental in establishing and mentoring a specialist high voltage purchasing team and developing the companies international supply chain. As Group Procurement & Supply Chain Director, Ronan harnesses his innate business acumen to partner with some of the world’s leading electrical equipment manufacturers, to provide our clients with unique, sustainable high voltage solutions.

  • Mike holds the role of Health, Safety & Environmental Director within an organisation that safety as one of the pillars of our foundation and success. He has responsibility for the HSE function globally and manages a dedicated, highly qualified team of HSE professionals. With support from an extended safety team of over 20 safety advisors, Mike oversees the development and implementation of all the health and safety programmes in the company, being very much responsible for all employees’ and sub-contractor’s safety at work.

  • Tom is an accomplished professional with over thirty years of experience managing multi-million-euro civil contracts. His experience is derived from senior management roles, delivering large scale infrastructure projects globally. In his role as CSA Group Director, Tom manages a multi-national team through his exceptional leadership skills. He has a particular interest in coaching, mentoring and developing teams internationally.

  • Patrick has over 15 years’ experience in working within the high, medium, and low voltage electrical industry. Patrick joined H&MV in 2018 and brought with him a wealth of technical knowledge and proven track record of successfully delivering projects from inception to final completion. Patrick has been a driving force in establishing our Engineering hub in the Dublin Region and was quickly promoted to Project Director. In this role, Patrick oversees several of our International & Ireland based mission critical projects and is a champion for engineering graduates’ continual professional development.

  • Asad joined the senior management team at H&MV Engineering early in 2018. As an experienced Chartered Electrical Engineer with over 25 years’ experience within the UK Power Transmission and Distribution market delivering complex engineering projects, Asad’s experience is unrivalled within the UK power sector. As Managing Director UK, Asad harnesses his operational background with his financial and leadership skills to oversee and manage H&MV Engineering operations in the UK.

  • Venkatesan has over 20 years of experience working in the specialised high and medium voltage electrical industry. Throughout his career with H&MV Engineering, he has worked with various types of substation arrangements across multiple sectors and countries. As Director, Venkatesan manages engineering teams in Hosur and Bangalore, mentoring and developing the engineers and managing complex designs, promoting sustainable and cutting edge innovative solutions.

  • David possesses extensive engineering and project management experience, having spent more than 20 years working in the large-scale electricity utility sector in Ireland, Australia and Africa. He has a proven record of accomplishment in leading multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently from concept and design, through construction and commissioning to completion. David has expert knowledge and experience in numerous specialised areas across the electricity transmission and distribution engineering sector.

  • James has over 17 years’ experience managing projects in Ireland, Netherlands, Denmark, Canada, the UK and Qatar for industry leading clients in major growth sectors. As Project Director, James has overall responsibility for successful completion of projects to client satisfaction as well as the co-ordination of varying specialist disciplines. James has excellent interpersonal and people management skills, developed throughout his impressive career.

  • As the Managing Director of the UK business, Nigel Taylor brings over 30 years of executive leadership experience driving growth and strategic transformations.

    Throughout his accomplished career, Nigel has leveraged his expertise across energy services, construction, and beyond. He joins the company to spearhead the next chapter of development and success in the UK market.

    With an empowering leadership style and relentless pursuit of excellence, Nigel oversees strategy, business growth, culture, talent development, operations, and finances. His passion for positive culture aims to take the UK business to new heights.

  • Dave is an accomplished professional with over 25 years’ industry experience, delivering large-scale, complex Mechanical & Electrical projects in Ireland, the UK and Europe. He leads H&MV Engineering’s M&E Business Unit, with overall responsibility for growth and operations within the department, managing several high performing teams. Dave has strong strategic management capabilities with highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills gained throughout his extensive career.

  • Kieran joined H&MV Engineering in 2013 and has been one of the driving forces in promoting the company’s core values and developing systems and policies to meet local and European market needs. As the Chief Financial Officer, Kieran is responsible for managing multimillion-euro contracts across Europe, South Africa, and India. Kieran has proven himself as passionate leader with a particular focus on commercial talent and skills development initiatives.

  • At the helm of H&MV Engineering, PJ has carved out an impressive career with strategic experience in technical, financial and operational areas. PJ began his career with H&MV in 1998 and quickly became a driving force within the company. His time spent in operations coupled with his keen business acumen has provided PJ with the knowledge and skillset to position him as an industry leader. Displaying a relentless desire to achieving the highest possible standards, PJ empowers those who come in contact with him. PJ’s focus has always been on developing offerings of EPC solutions to major industry users and utilities globally.
