Training & Development.

Expert training for safe high-voltage operations, delivered in a live substation environment.

Building Competence in High-Voltage Operations

H&MV Engineering’s Training Academy addresses a critical competency gap in high-voltage operations across Ireland and beyond. Drawing on decades of engineering expertise, we’ve developed specialist training programmes that combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical experience.

Our participants train in a live high-voltage substation, modified by our experts to maximise learning whilst ensuring safety. Led by senior trainers with real industry experience, our City & Guilds assured programmes equip engineers, technicians, and operators with the skills to work safely and confidently with high-voltage systems.

Whether you’re managing a data centre, industrial facility, utility network, or renewable energy project, our training ensures your team has the competency to operate safely and in compliance with industry standards.

Train in a Live HV Substation

Our purpose-built training facility gives participants hands-on experience in a real high-voltage environment. This unique approach ensures learners don’t just understand theory but can confidently apply safe practices in real-world scenarios.

The facility has been carefully modified to provide maximum learning opportunities whilst maintaining the highest safety standards. Participants work with actual switchgear, transformers and protection systems under expert supervision.
