Client Challenges.
Statnett required an upgrade & extension to an existing 420, 300, 17 kV substation to be built in Skien. Constant and efficient communication and liaison between utility and relevant local authorities was of utmost importance.
Our Solution.
- H&MV Engineering delivered the electrical design, procurement, engineering, installation, construction, interface control, testing, and commissioning for the substation upgrade. This included full system studies and installing the primary electrical system.
- A detailed 3D model was developed during the design phase. As Principal Contractor, we managed safety and risks across the project lifecycle. H&MV produced a complete set of as-built drawings and a Safety Handover File.
- With our strong track record of upgrading critical substations, H&MV Engineering delivered the works on time while meeting the highest reliability standards through close coordination with all stakeholders. H&MV Engineering were responsible for risk management and issuing the Integrated Test Plans (ITPs), Construction Management Plans, Quality Plans, and Safety Management Plan.
