Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming second-year Electrical Engineering students from Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) to our Limerick headquarters for an insightful and engaging coffee morning.

Our expert engineers from the Design and Commissioning departments delivered technical talks on power systems, grid connections, and the future of grid infrastructure. Beyond technical knowledge, students also gained first-hand insights into career pathways within the power engineering sector. Our team shared their experiences, highlighting the various roles and opportunities available within H&MV Engineering.
A key part of the session featured current graduates who shared their transition from student placements to full-time graduate positions. They discussed the skills they developed during their placements and how their responsibilities have evolved in their graduate roles. This gave students a clear picture of what to expect as they embark on their own professional journeys..

David O’Rourke TUS lecturer shared his thoughts on the event, stating:
