Environmental Stewardship

H&MV Engineering continue to play an active role in accelerating the transition to a low-carbon future by enabling sustainable energy solutions through our technology. Our innovation is central to integrating clean energy into the power grid, supporting the global goal of a resilient, modern, and decarbonised energy.

To support our ambition of achieving Net Zero by 2045, we continue to focus on effective solutions to ultimately reduce our carbon footprint. The past year focused on a sustainable fleet transition, improving energy efficiency, innovative sustainable design solutions, and continued environmental protection across our operations.

Key highlights include:

• 2,973 tCO2e avoided from use of HVO across our project sites 
• 38MWh of renewable energy produced 
• Maintained ISO 14001 Certification 
• Over 50% CO2 emissions reductions for key civil engineering designs 
• 20.6% Electric & Hybrid Vehicles in our Fleet

Social Responsibility

Strong Governance

Robust governance underpins our approach to sustainable and responsible business. Our governance framework provides clear oversight and ensures alignment between organisational values, ethical standards, and sustainability commitments. Our ESG committee plays a critical role in providing strategic direction and oversight, embedding responsible business conduct across the organisation as we scale.

Over the reporting period, we further strengthened our governance systems, enhancing transparency, accountability, and leadership to support long-term resilience, performance, and stakeholder trust.

• Implementation of Microsoft Sustainability Manager, strengthening ESG data governance, consistency, accuracy and transparency. 
• Maintained certifications of international quality standards 
• Major investment made in training and capability development of our people through the establishment of our training centre 
• Driving efficiency and innovation through digital transformation and automated workflows. 

H&MV Engineering are steadfast in its commitment to consistent and transparent reporting requirements in the face of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.

Looking Ahead

We are proud of the progress made over the past year and remain dedicated to building a sustainable organisation. While we have faced challenges which led to reprioritisation of some of our objectives set out in the previous year, we aim to:

• Publish our Net Zero Transition Plan 
• Increase our renewable energy consumption and production 
• Set science-based targets with the Science Based Targets initiative 
• Continue to integrate more electric and hybrid vehicles into our fleet
• Improve our transparency and accountability through sustainability reporting
